Change is in Season

>>>See some of our Retail Color Change Wraps<<<

Within the last year we have seen a surge of retail customers bring us vehicles that they want to make 100% personal with a customized look. The matte and satin looks have been very popular recently. It seems that a lot more people are understanding that wraps are for more than just commercial vehicles. You can do all kinds of amazing things with wrap film to truly make your vehicle stand out from the crowd. You will go park somewhere and come back to a gathering of people taking photos of your car asking where did you go to paint that?! Then you will have to explain to them that it is NOT paint and that it is in fact a wrap you had done here at Don’t Drive Naked! So much can be achieved with vinyl as the conform-ability and technology improves to make them last longer. Not to mention the vinyl is protecting the paint underneath, the investment in a wrap alone will give you peace of mind that your paint will be kept in perfect condition safely under the new wrap!

Are you making an Impression?

Q. How effective are vehicle wraps?

A. A vehicle wrap is the most effective form of advertising in the market today. One car wrap garners between 30,000 and 70,000 views per day.

It is a competitive environment and it isn’t easy to create customer awareness by using simple, traditional advertising. You have to be out-of-the-ordinary to be seen in today’s marketplace. If you want your brand to be recognized and be at the top of your client’s mind when they are in need of your product or services, you have to stay in front of them daily.

Car wraps boast the lowest cost-per-impression rate compared to any other form of advertising media and are not only affordable for large brands that elect to use vehicle wraps as a core advertising strategy, but also for small and medium-sized businesses. You can’t shut off the message on a vehicle, like you can on a TV, it is displaying your message and providing valuable advertising 24/7.

A vehicle wrap has many benefits that the exceedingly more expensive traditional media lacks, check out the vehicle wrap facts below from the Outdoor Advertising Association of America:

  • Mobile advertising can be the most effective and efficient form of outdoor advertising, reaching more consumers at a lower Cost Per Thousand Impressions (CPM) than any other form of outdoor advertising.
  • More than 95% of Americans are reached by media targeting vehicle drivers and passengers.
  • The average American has traveled 302 miles in the past 7 days.
  • One vehicle wrap can generate between 30,000 – 70,000 impressions daily.
  • Federal Highway Administration study forecasts a sharp increase in the amount of time spent in personal vehicles and the number of trips per household.
  • Fleet vehicle wraps are ideally suited for various types advertising campaigns, including new product launch, and event marketing and are increasingly being used as part of the marketing mix.
  • Fleet vehicle advertising boosts name recognition 15 times greater than any other form of advertising.
  • Transit advertising has grown to be the second largest segment of the outdoor advertising industry in terms of dollars spent representing 19% (as of 2003). The Outdoor Advertising industry has nearly doubled since 1993 from $1.19B to $2.09B in 2003. These numbers continue to grow each year.
  • Eight out of ten Americans report they have walked in a town, city or downtown area, on average 6.1 miles in the past seven days. This pedestrian traffic represents a significant opportunity for advertisers.

Vehicle Wraps: The Best Marketing Investment

As a business owner controlling your advertising costs is a priority, vehicle wraps cannot be beat when compared to most common forms of advertising. However, most business owners may fail to realize that vehicle wraps are one of the best and most cost effective forms of marketing available to them. In addition to being immensely less expensive than the most common forms of advertising (such as radio or TV/Cable, yellow page directories, billboards, or various types of newspapers), vehicle wraps also offer the benefit of being mobile and always “on the move“!

Another significant benefit to vehicle wraps include an incredible lifespan of 5-7 years, a massive increase in the visibility of your business or organization, and the ability to advertise over a large geographic area and reach a wider range of potential customers!

Recent studies and surveys have indicated that over 95% of those surveyed remembered the advertisement and company name displayed on the vehicle wrap. If your businesses goals include building your company/brand name and recognition, look no further – vehicle wraps are your ticket to success and unlimited growth potential!!

Amped Electrical Services

Alan Parish and Daniel Decker are the owners of local Amped Electrical Services, and when they walked through our doors a couple weeks ago it couldn’t have been any more perfect on the timing. Mr. Parish, like other businesses in the community, heard that Dream Street Graphics is the place to have your vehicle wrapped for the most exposure, highest customer service, and best graphics with certified installers. It just so happens that at the time we were in the market for an electrician to upgrade the lights in our bays.

After a few brief meetings and design talk, we were in business and plans were rolling smoothly! As it turned out, Mr. Parish and Mr. Decker were looking to get their truck wrapped as well as a van wrapped to promote their relatively new company that opened in 2011. Our graphic designers were quick to get everything squared away; simultaneously. Dream Street Graphics was under construction with getting our new lights installed.

In less than a day, the truck graphics had been installed at our location in southeast Indianapolis. Mr. Parish and Mr. Decker were thrilled with the result of the custom graphics that the designers came up with. Our graphic installers were equally impressed with the new lights that Amped Electrical put into our facility.

Make an Immediate Impact

Don’t Drive Naked!

When done right, a car wrap is a great way to send an impact or at the very least pique someone’s interest. We’ve all seen those car wraps that are just a complete muddle of information. It’s a good thing then that a car wrap mess is completely avoidable! Here are a few tips to drive home your desired message.

Capture that Elusive Message

At the beginning of any car wrap project, both parties should be able to determine the main message or image that a client wants for their car wrap. This way, planning becomes an easier task and no elements will go astray or become lost in the designing process.

Keep it Clean & Classy

Five seconds is all it takes to get your car to be noticed. No matter how witty the message or how painstakingly the image was done, if the overall layout is a jumble, nobody’s going to get it. At the end of the day, simple graphics, a one liner, and a clean layout is going to get more attention than a car wrap that aspires to be a moving collage.

Choose A Quality Printer

Since having vehicle wraps designed and made require money, make sure every single cent you spend counts! Opt for expertise, experience, and professionalism. An expert and experienced car wrap designer will see to it that you’re given highly effective designs with superb outputs. Moreover, choose one that’s trustworthy. The last thing you want is to be given overpriced rates for inferior quality!

Bane-Welker Equipment, LLC

Vinyl on the Farm

Bane-Welker Equipment, LLC was formed in January of 2013 when two very successful Case IH dealerships, Bane Equipment and North Central Agri-Power, merged to become one of the top farm equipment sales providers in the Midwest.

When their marketing manager, Dylan Diaz, contacted us in March along with the help of Blue Marketing, we were thrilled with the opportunity to help market the new company. We went straight to work on the custom design for their Sprinter graphics, and after some slight modifications we were ready to print. The vehicle was dropped off Thursday morning and was ready to go Friday afternoon. Mr. Diaz was ecstatic with the results of their new graphics and quick turnaround time of the Don’t Drive Naked staff.

Word spread quickly from their Crawfordsville location to their other stores and in May, Mr. Diaz reached out for a second custom full wrap from the Dream Street crew. This time around Bane-Welker wanted to keep the same style but use different farm equipment to market to another division of their customer base. With a new design in place, our certified installers were back at it on a new full wrap for a Sprinter. We were happy to hear that Mr. Diaz along with the rest of the Bane-Welker organization were all pleased with the second wrap.

We look forward to the upcoming diverse wraps that we will be doing for Bane-Welker Equipment. To learn more about the services Bane-Welker has to offer, visit their website or visit a store near you in one of their several locations across Indiana: Crawfordsville, Lebanon, Pendleton, Plymouth, Remington, Terre Haute, Winamac and Wingate.

We would like to personally thank Blue Marketing for pointing Mr. Diaz in our direction. Without their assistance, these two amazing wraps would not have been possible!

Wait to Paint!

Vinyl might be a better option…

It is not unusual for us to get a phone call requesting a price for wrapping. The caller inevitably says, ‘Maaco was only a few hundred dollars for a paint job’ or ‘That’s a lot less than painting!’ I became curious: Why do some of my callers think our vehicle wrap pricing is reasonable, while others scream bloody murder over the cost compared to painting? I found the simple answer to be that painting varies just as the quality of a wrapped vehicle varies.

I’m no expert on vehicle painting but it is my understanding a vehicle should be sanded, painted and primed. Then, it is actually painted. Just like other processes, the quality of the paint can make a huge difference. The vehicle is usually out of commission for two weeks. That being said, I’ve recently learned you can skip the first steps and go right to the painting to decrease the cost. So, a $500 Maaco paint job can seem like a great deal, but not include all the extras and look awful in a few years when it needs to be redone.

If you have been considering a vehicle wrap in lieu of a paint job, consider why you might choose a wrap. A car wrap is removable. Wrapping a vehicle means you can include various visual tricks you can’t achieve with paint. This might mean logo vehicle branding or digital logo images. Wraps last about 5-7 years and are completed in just two days. The box truck wrap can go over rivets, too. Wrapping, once removed, does not lower the value of your car.

On the other hand, if you have a highly specialized cherry apple neon rainbow color in mind, wrapping your car could be significantly more expensive. Maybe you only intend to keep a vehicle for a few years and don’t need any vehicle branding. It’s entirely up to you. Either way, vehicle wrapping and car painting costs can vary greatly, so buyer beware!

Welcome to the Car Wash!

It’s no surprise, your wrap’s going to get dirty.

After all, you’re exposing it to the elements when you’re showing it off! And remember that dirt, grime, and even road salts can be corrosive or abrasive to your wrap, and you’ve got to have a washing schedule to avoid doing damage to it.

Hand washing is the best way to keep the vehicle clean. Make sure you’re using a nice, soft, non-abrasive cloth. You want to avoid high pressure systems as they may damage the adhesive around the edges. It’s okay to run it through a car wash as long as it’s not high pressure.

You Can Wax Your Wrap

If you have a full wrap, there is no need for wax. If you have only a partial wrap, you can use wax on the exposed paint, but make sure to remove any build up along the edge of the graphics.

Window Graphics

If you have a vehicle with window graphics or window perforated graphics, you want to avoid using an ice scraper. Instead, turn on the defroster and use a soft brush to do the job.

Any issues that may arise we will take care of it however best we can. You don’t have to worry about us disappearing or not answering the phone. We’ve got you covered.
